HCPC17: Richter Aleworks – Meet Your Heroes, Naming Woes, Beer Trends

May 31, 2017

(NSFW) The guys take the long trip over to the North West side of the valley to visit one of the newest breweries in Peoria, Richter Aleworks. We talk with owner/brewer Brandon Richter and head brewer Wes Burbank about their upcoming beer releases, collaborations with other valley breweries, and their 1 year anniversary party. We also talk to Brandon about how this all came together including meeting Sam Calagione, from Dogfish Head Brewing, at a Bocce ball tournament in Scottsdale, drinking beers with a monk, and why naming a brewery is tough business. We talk why Richter Aleworks would never say never, but has no plans to sellout. Wes gives some honest opinions on some latest craft beer trends and some questionable brewing processes others my use. All in all a great time was had by all.
